My pal Ryan and I are at it again. This time were testing a new claim for sale. The roads were only plowed half way up, so we hiked in on foot 2 1/2 miles each way in a foot of slushy snow. Yes, I know were nuts, but we drove for 5hrs to get there and the claim had to be tested nonetheless. The test was fantastic and it's a beautiful claim. I am trying to buy it - but will most likely be outbid. We didn't find any gold on the wash we sluiced on either. Some say it was on a claim, to that we say- sorry, and since we found nothing, no mineral trespassing occurred. Nonetheless, we still apologize for trying to have a little fun. Sorry I didn't show any of the color in this video, we were averaging 3-5 nice colors per single pan! Wonderful test pans! Although I'm sure we will be outbi...

ADAMS COUNTY, IDAHO — The family of an Idaho rancher who was shot by two sheriff's deputies last week vows to pursue claims against Adams County for what they say is a 'completely unjustified' killing. Jack Yantis, 62, died last week on US 95, a few miles north of Council, Idaho. Events were set in motion when a car struck one of the rancher's bulls. Sheriff's deputies planned to put down the bull, which was charging people at the scene of the crash, when Yantis arrived with his family's rifle. The incident took place on the evening of November 1. Yantis arrived at the scene after receiving a call about his angry bull. His nephew told the Idaho Statesman that as Yantis parked his all-terrain vehicle near the bull, two deputies opened fire on the animal with pistols and at least one sem...

Here's a small creek we found gold in on the Silver Horseshoe Mining claim in Custer County, Idaho. It's a lode claim w/ multiple mines on it. Geology is Iron Skarn, with metal rich lenses in the limestone being common. Lots of Copper, Silver, Lead, Zinc, and some Gold in these mines, along with tungsten. The creek had some small color in most pans, and seems to originate right below the main mine on the claim. Lots of hoses that carry water to the neighboring Horseshoe mine, and many other prospects in the immediate area. We're selling our 3 claims up there. Video by Dan Driscoll.

How do you collect a small claims judgment? Attorney Tom Olsen: In Florida, small claims court is for claims under $5,000. The clerks will give you the forms and help you through the process. Getting a judgment against someone is usually the easy part. A judgment is simply a piece of paper that says somebody owes you money. The hard part is trying to collect the judgment. The judge who granted your final judgment in small claims court, when you did it without a lawyer, is obligated to help you collect it. The judge will be obligated to send a notice out to the defendant ordering the defendant to come to court with copies of bank records, deeds etc. and the judge will help you go through it and figure which assets you can go after. The judges don't necessarily volunteer this information...

His nephew told the Idaho Statesman that as Yantis parked his all-terrain vehicle near the bull, two deputies opened fire on the animal with pistols and at least one semi automatic rifle. Hoping to kill the bull more humanely, Yantis stood four feet away from the bull, and aimed his rifle at the bull's head. In statements provided to the Idaho Statesman, Yantis family members say that just as Yantis was about to pull the trigger, a deputy grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around, at which point his rifle accidentally discharged. The deputies responded by fatally shooting Yantis in the abdomen and chest. Despite all the shooting, the sheriff's deputies failed to humanely put down the rancher's bull, which laid in the road for hours before suffocating on his own blood. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. The judges don't necessarily volunteer this information to you, so you’ve got to be the one to go the clerks and say “Look, I need the judge's help to collect this in small claims court judgment”. When you find out, for example, the person has a bank account, the judge might help you garnish that bank account. If they find out that you're employed and you meet the criteria, you can garnish their wages. In the State of Florida, you cannot put a lien against somebody's home. Even if they have a beautiful home, free and clear and paid for, you can't touch it. So you have to look for other real estate, like investment property or rental property. Remember that, for a married couple, if you sue just the husband you cannot touch anything that's owned by the husband and wife. If you sue just the wife, you cannot touch anything owned by the husband and wife. So, for a married couple, you need to sue them both of them to be able to collect something. But, all in all, it's hard, difficult and sometimes impossible to collect judgments in Florida. You can also talk to your accountant or CPA about taking a tax deduction for uncollected judgments. I think the IRS requires that you put a reasonable effort into trying to collect it, but if you're unable to collect it, it can be a tax deduction for you. Check it out with your accountant or CPA. April 15, 2016. Lincoln County, Idaho. Deputy Scott Denning. Seeking one year in jail for "obstructing an officer." https://m.facebook.com/LincolnCountyIDSheriff/ Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, 111 West B Street, Shoshone, ID 83352, (208) 886-2250 FINAL UPDATE: On 10/4/16 Dan was found NOT GUILTY by a jury of his peers. Testifying on his behalf against the county's case was the Idaho State Police who confirmed for all of us that this arrest violated several standard policing practices. We are pleased that the charges against Dan are resolved, having always been meritless. BODY CAM VIDEO was leaked http://m.liveleak.com/view?i=3fa_1469809319 My brother Dan McIsaac was pulled over late at night in a very remote part of rural Idaho. He was pulled over for speeding (accused of going 78mph in a 65mph area, mentioned at 4min30sec in the video). Body cam video from the officer shows that the officer approached and ordered "Put out your cigarette or move it away from the window." My brother responded "I don't think you can order me to put out a cigarette..." At which point the officer ordered "Exit your vehicle now!.. Bring your license and registration." (Before having access to the body cam video the driver only recalled being ordered to exit his vehicle, which was the part that shocked him). We all expect a police officer to ask for license and registration. But asking you to step out of your vehicle is an unusual first step and instantly triggers stress hormones. Suddenly we don't know what's going on or what to expect. I can imagine that making any vulnerable person question their safety. Dan asked to see the police officer's identification, as the State of Idaho instructs*. The officer refused, repeating that he was a uniformed officer in a marked car and "didn't need to show" it. Dan called 911 to verify the police officer was legitimate. Oh, and the police officer placed him under arrest for doing this. Dan fully complied after police dispatch verified the officer's identity. In the interest of fairness, though, I should point out that Dan did ask a second question at this point. He asked "Why am I being arrested?" The police officer would not answer. Dan is facing ONE YEAR IN JAIL if convicted for "obstructing an officer" (asking a question) and "falsifying a 911 call" (calling to verify this was an actual police officer). Spread the word about what the the justice system is doing to our citizens by liking and sharing this post. Contact Lincoln County, Idaho and let them know you disagree with what they are trying to do. What is the one question that will send you to prison? The sad answer is: Any question at all that the police don't happen to like. I'm left with some questions, though. Why did an officer making a routine traffic stop demand that a citizen get out of his vehicle instead of just asking for license and registration? Why did the officer refuse to show his identification? What are you supposed to do if police behavior makes you question your safety? Oh, wait... https://www.isp.idaho.gov/patrol/PulledOver.html stated for state police "If you question whether the person is actually an officer, pull over anyway and ask for identification when the person approaches you. If he or she does not produce official identification, you may leave." (this page may no longer be available, but is archived at http://web.archive.org/web/20100226054700/http://www.isp.idaho.gov/patrol/PulledOver.html). So a better question is, why doesn't that apply to small town cops? Why did the officer in question change his initial police report after he learned that the encounter had been recorded? I would ask the police directly, but it seems they don't like questions.
